Peter Parker is a shy, orphaned high school student, raised by his aunt May and uncle Ben, whose world changes completely when the bite of a genetically modified spider grants him superhuman strength, agility, and senses. After a devastating loss that teaches him that with great power comes great responsibility, Peter takes on the masked identity of Spider-Man to protect New York. His heroic calling will pit him against the Green Goblin, a deranged enemy tied to the family of his best friend, while he tries to win over his neighbor Mary Jane. Sam Raimi defines the mold of modern superhero cinema with a vibrant, sentimental, and heartfelt adventure.
