Three brilliant, disguise-mastering investigators working for the unseen millionaire Charlie plunge into a case involving stolen voice-identification technology that threatens everyone's privacy, aided by their devoted handler Bosley. Their high-kicking sleuthing soon curdles into a personal vendetta when a hidden betrayal marks the trio for assassination. McG directs a candy-colored, tongue-in-cheek update of the seventies television series, all slow-motion martial arts, quick-change costumes and pop-soundtrack bravado. Fronted by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu at their most gleefully game, it revels in cartoonish action and knowing camp, a frothy blockbuster that never takes itself remotely seriously.
