Michael Cavanaugh has built a long career as an American actor with the unglamorous consistency that long careers are made of. The list also holds 'Holes'. More of the credits fall under thriller than under anything else. The distance between the first credit and the most recent is about 50 years. For much of the audience, Michael Cavanaugh is Forensic Dentist from 'Red Dragon', whatever else the credits say.
