ER

“Life. Death. Chaos. It's all in a day's work.”
7.8 /10 (942) 1994–2009
Drama
Set inside the bustling, understaffed emergency room of Chicago's County General Hospital, 'ER' followed the doctors and nurses who absorb the city's worst nights, trauma call after trauma call, with barely a beat to process any of it. Across fifteen seasons the cast rotated through generations of County General staff, with Maura Tierney's no-nonsense Abby Lockhart, Parminder Nagra's Neela Rasgotra, and Linda Cardellini's Samantha Taggart carrying long stretches of the show's later years. Michael Crichton's medical background gave the series a procedural authenticity that made its rapid-fire jargon and chaotic multi-patient triage feel startlingly real. It set the template nearly every hospital drama since has had to answer to.
