Told with the cold precision of a case file, this crime saga traces the rise and fall of Colombia's cocaine empires and the obsessive lawmen who pursued them across two decades of bloodshed. The early seasons follow Pablo Escobar's transformation from ambitious smuggler to the world's most wanted narco-terrorist, seen largely through the eyes of the DEA agents dispatched to bring him down, before the story pivots to the Cali cartel that filled the vacuum he left behind. Shot on location and laced with archival footage, it blurs the line between dramatization and documentary.
