This revisionist take on the Arthurian legend trades pageantry for blood, magic, and teenage defiance. Katherine Langford plays Nimue, a young sorceress branded a heretic who allies with the roguish mercenary Arthur, played by Devon Terrell, to deliver an ancient sword to Merlin, reimagined by Gustaf Skarsgård as a weary, fallen wizard rather than a wise sage. Daniel Sharman's menacing Weeping Monk and Sebastian Armesto's scheming clergy sharpen the clash between the old faith and a church determined to erase it. Lush and unapologetically dark, it turns Camelot's origin story into a coming-of-age tale about power and survival.
