A relentlessly silly spoof from the ZAZ team behind 'Airplane!', firing gags at a machine-gun pace. Val Kilmer, in his film debut, plays an American rock idol who tours East Germany and stumbles into a resistance plot, parodying both Elvis musicals and World War II spy pictures at once. The jokes range from groan-worthy to inspired, and its sheer density rewards repeat viewing. A modest earner that became a beloved cult comedy.
