Freshly paroled and desperate to reunite with the wife and daughter he has never met, former Army Ranger Cameron Poe boards a transport plane packed with the nation's most dangerous convicts. When the prisoners, led by the cerebral serial killer Cyrus Grissom, seize control mid-flight, Poe must play along while secretly working to bring the hijacked aircraft down. Simon West directs a gleefully overblown slice of Bruckheimer-era action, all one-liners, explosions and larger-than-life villains. Loud, absurd and knowingly ridiculous, it revels in its own excess with Nicolas Cage's mullet leading the charge.
