Lured into a trap and framed for murder, the half-vampire hunter finds himself branded a public menace and forced into the daylight of a manhunt. His salvation comes from an unlikely quarter: a clandestine band of human vampire slayers called the Nightstalkers, who need his help to stop the resurrection of the primal ancestor of all vampires. David S. Goyer closes the trilogy with a brasher, wisecracking tone, pairing Wesley Snipes's stoic warrior with a snarkier young supporting cast. Overstuffed and uneven yet propelled by comic-book bravado, it trades the gothic gloom of earlier chapters for glossy, breakneck spectacle.
