Consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his flatmate Dr. John Watson, a wounded army medic freshly home from Afghanistan, are reimagined for a London of smartphones, blogs, and CCTV. Sherlock, a self-described high-functioning sociopath, cracks impossible cases through dazzling feats of deduction while the loyal, grounded Watson chronicles their exploits and keeps his brilliant friend tethered to the human world. Across feature-length mysteries, the duo tangle with Scotland Yard, Sherlock's icy brother Mycroft, and the seductive menace of criminal mastermind Jim Moriarty. Stylish, witty, and dizzyingly clever, the show renders Conan Doyle's original with kinetic visuals and a thoroughly modern pulse.
