House

“Everybody lies.”
8.6 /10 (7,751) 2004–2012
Drama
Creator David Shore
58 wins · 140 nominations
Dr. Gregory House is a brilliant diagnostician and a spectacular misanthrope, a limping, pill-addicted genius who trusts symptoms far more than the patients who report them. Leading a sparring team at a New Jersey teaching hospital, he treats each baffling case as a mystery to be cracked, convinced that everybody lies. The medical puzzles are ingenious, but the real diagnosis is always House himself, whose brilliance is inseparable from his loneliness and self-destruction. Acerbic and addictive, the series turns the procedural into a character study of a man who heals everyone but himself.
