When a group of militant rebels from 2077 stages a mass execution meant to punish the corporations that replaced world governments, their time-jump escape to 2012 Vancouver accidentally drags along Kiera Cameron, a loyal officer of that future's authoritarian regime. Rachel Nichols plays Kiera as a woman forced to protect a status quo she's only beginning to question, hiding her origins from a present-day partner while hunting rebels led by Victor Webster's Kellog and Erik Knudsen's tech-prodigy Alec, whom she recruits as an ally. The series threads its time-travel mechanics through genuinely thorny questions about corporate power and radical resistance. 'Continuum' treats its sci-fi premise as a lens for real political anxiety, not just spectacle.
