Bottom

★7.9/10(150)TV-14age•1991–1995
Comedy
Two unemployable flatmates in Hammersmith, Richie and Eddie, spend their days insulting each other and their evenings escalating to frying pans, cricket bats and gas explosions. Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson wrote it and starred in it, stripping their earlier work down to two men, one shabby flat and an almost cartoonish level of violence. The BBC aired three series between 1991 and 1995, and the pair kept the characters alive for years afterwards through a run of live stage tours.

Adrian Edmondson was 34, Rik Mayall was 33, and Clive Mantle was 34 when the series “Bottom” premiered (1991).
