A goofy comedy Western directed by John Landis, 'Three Amigos!' stars Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short as vain silent-film cowboys who mistake a real village's plea for help against bandits as an invitation to perform. When they arrive expecting a show, they must become the heroes they only ever played. Amiably silly and quotable, co-written by Martin, Lorne Michaels and Randy Newman, it flopped on release but grew into a comfortable comedy cult favorite over the decades.
