Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd star in this John Landis comedy about a snobbish commodities broker and a street hustler whose lives are deliberately swapped as part of a cruel social experiment bet between two wealthy, callous brothers. The film satirizes class privilege and the arbitrary nature of success through its escalating culture-clash farce, building toward a satisfying commodities-market revenge scheme. It remains one of the defining studio comedies of the early 1980s and a showcase for Murphy's star-making comic energy.
