Eight years after taking the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes, Batman lives in retirement and Gotham enjoys a fragile peace built on a lie. Bruce Wayne emerges from his seclusion when the city is threatened by Bane, a brutal, unstoppable mercenary who plans to plunge it into terror, and by the enigmatic thief Selina Kyle, of shifting loyalties. Christopher Nolan closes his trilogy with a superproduction of epic ambition and somber tone, pushing the hero to his physical and moral breaking point. A grand finale about sacrifice, rebirth and the price of being a legend.
