Tarsem Singh directs this body-swap thriller starring Ben Kingsley as a dying billionaire who transfers his consciousness into a younger, engineered body, played by Ryan Reynolds, only to be plagued by intrusive memories that reveal the host body wasn't grown in a lab but stolen from a living man. What starts as a slick science-fiction premise about cheating death curdles into a chase thriller once Reynolds' character starts hunting down the truth. Visually polished but narratively conventional, it's a competent B-movie elevated by its willingness to take its unsettling premise to a genuinely dark conclusion.
