Two strangers wake chained at opposite ends of a filthy, sealed-off bathroom, with no memory of how they got there. A corpse lies between them, and they soon realize they are the latest victims of Jigsaw, a killer who does not kill directly but subjects his prey to macabre games in which they must mutilate themselves or sacrifice others to survive. Against the clock, the two men must decipher the sadist's clues and confront how far they are willing to go to stay alive. James Wan debuted with this harrowing low-budget horror thriller that founded one of the most profitable franchises in the genre and popularized so-called torture porn.
