Madison, a pregnant woman trapped in a violent marriage, begins to suffer visions of gruesome murders that she at first takes for nightmares. She soon discovers, to her horror, that these crimes she sees while awake are actually happening, orchestrated by a figure called Gabriel who seems to know her and who links her to a past she cannot remember. While the police search for the killer, Madison descends toward a secret as sickening as it is impossible. Directed by James Wan, it is a wild, blood-soaked horror that begins as a supernatural thriller and swerves into grand-guignol delirium that toys with expectations.
