At the end of the twenty-first century, a team of scientists aboard the ship Prometheus travels to a remote moon following the trail of ancient paintings that seem to point to the origin of humanity. Guided by the faith of finding our creators, they discover instead a nightmarish place that threatens not only their lives but the entire future of the species. Ridley Scott returns to the 'Alien' universe with an ambitious, visually dazzling prequel that trades claustrophobic terror for grand questions about creation, faith and the arrogance of seeking answers it might have been better not to know.
