In the dystopian megalopolis of Mega-City One, the Judges are police officers empowered to act as judge, jury and executioner on the spot. The relentless Judge Dredd takes rookie Anderson, a psychic, under his wing to evaluate her on what should be a routine day that goes wrong: they end up trapped in a colossal apartment block sealed off by Ma-Ma, a ruthless kingpin controlling the trade of a new drug. Floor by floor, they must shoot their way to the top of the tower. Pete Travis adapts the British comic into an arid, ultraviolent and claustrophobic action thriller, with Karl Urban never once removing his helmet.
