After escaping the infested planet, Ripley's ship crashes on Fiorina 161, a bleak prison planet housing a penal colony of religious and violent inmates. She is the only survivor of the crash, but she has not arrived alone: a xenomorph has traveled with her and begins to decimate the inmates. Without weapons of any kind and with rescue weeks away, Ripley and the prisoners must confront the creature with their bare hands. The saga's third installment, darker, more fatalistic and despairing, tinged with an almost funereal tone.
