Jon Favreau

Jon Favreau is an American actor, director and writer who has moved comfortably between independent film and major studio franchises. He first drew attention writing and starring in the indie comedy 'Swingers', and appears as Happy Hogan in the Marvel films. As a director he made the perennial comedy 'Elf' (2003) before launching the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 'Iron Man' (2008) and pioneering photorealistic remakes with 'The Jungle Book' (2016) and 'The Lion King' (2019). He also created the Star Wars series 'The Mandalorian', blending cutting-edge technology with warm, crowd-pleasing storytelling — as in his personal favourite, 'Chef'.
