Joe E. Brown is one of the more persistent actors of his generation with credits spread across cinema, television and everything between. Neither the cinema nor the television half of the career can be called the side project. The role of Osgood Fielding III in 'Some Like It Hot' is the one that keeps being brought up. Elsewhere on the filmography sits 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World'. The early stretch of the career is the part least seen today. Most of the work sits in comedy.
