Time and sheer volume of work have made Essence Atkins a veteran actress whose career has outlived most of the formats it was recorded on. 'A Haunted House 2' is a second title with real reach. 1991 is the year the filmography opens. If the filmography has a home genre, it is comedy. Steady employment, rather than one breakout, gives the career its shape. Keisha in 'A Haunted House' is the role that outgrew the rest.
