Clive Owen

Englishman Clive Owen became known in his country as the lead of the series 'Chancer' and drew international attention for his role as a struggling writer in 'Croupier'. His somber magnetism reached full consecration with 'Closer', which earned him the Golden Globe, the BAFTA and an Oscar nomination, and from there he starred in titles like 'Sin City', 'Inside Man' and Alfonso Cuarón's dystopian 'Children of Men'. On television he played the tormented Dr. Thackery in the medical series 'The Knick' and brought President Bill Clinton to life in 'American Crime Story'. Owen combines emphatic elegance with a contained intensity that makes him ideal for tortured heroes and ambiguous antiheroes.
