The Flash
CreatorDanny Bilson, Paul De Meo
Long before the character became a network franchise, this short-lived but lovingly remembered series gave Barry Allen his first live-action outing, as one of television's earliest attempts at a big-budget superhero show. A freak lab accident turns a mild-mannered forensic scientist into a scarlet blur who polices Central City's rogues gallery by night. Canceled after a single season, it has since earned cult status as an ambitious, ahead-of-its-time experiment that paved the way for everything that followed.
