Set in 1993, this prequel to the film 'Ted' finds the foul-mouthed teddy bear's celebrity long faded, reduced to living out his days with best friend John Bennett, a floundering 16-year-old in a working-class Boston household. Seth MacFarlane again voices Ted opposite Max Burkholder's John, with Alanna Ubach and Scott Grimes rounding out the Bennett family chaos around them. Ted remains a terrible influence, pushing schemes and profanity-laced pep talks on his best friend, but beneath the vulgarity sits real loyalty when the family needs him most. It's MacFarlane's brand of raunchy nostalgia, swapping the movie's rom-com stakes for a shaggier, sitcom-paced hangout comedy.

When Matty makes Ted go to school with John, Ted immediately decides to get expelled.

Ted and John's plan to exact revenge on the school bully inadvertently puts them in a parental role. Matty agrees to get a colonoscopy… on one condition.

Matty's unorthodox Christmas wish is granted, completely upending the Bennett family dynamic. A trip to church gets John and Ted wondering about Ted's miraculous origin.

He's Gotta Have It
As the end of the school year approaches, Ted plots to help John lose his virginity after John learns he is the last virgin in school.
