Space Force follows General Mark Naird, a decorated pilot with zero patience for Washington politics, as he's tasked with building the U.S. military's newest branch from a half-finished base and a skeleton crew. Steve Carell plays Naird with the same exasperated sincerity he brought to 'The Office', bouncing off John Malkovich's droll, deeply skeptical chief scientist Dr. Mallory. Ben Schwartz's social-media strategist and Tawny Newsome's sharp astronaut-in-training round out a team perpetually one launch away from disaster. Satirizing bureaucracy, ego, and America's space ambitions in equal measure, it finds its best jokes in the gap between grand mission and daily incompetence.
