“They're zany to the max!”
★8/10(793)TV-Y7age•1993–1998
AnimationKidsComedy
Steven Spielberg's anarchic reinvention of the classic cartoon variety show stars Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, three Warner siblings supposedly locked in the studio water tower since the 1930s, who escape to run riot through pop culture, history, and Hollywood itself. Around them orbit Pinky and the Brain, the Goodfeathers, and Slappy Squirrel, each segment swinging from Looney Tunes-style slapstick to musical numbers with unexpectedly sophisticated wordplay. Voice performances from Rob Paulsen and Jess Harnell balance rapid-fire jokes with a genuine sweetness that let it play equally well to kids and the adults watching alongside them. Its density of reference and gag-per-minute rate set a bar few children's shows since have matched.

Synopsis
