There is nothing showy about Natalie Gumede, a straightforward British actress, the sort of presence that makes a cast feel lived in. The steadiest line through the credits is drama. Employment has been the constant here: 22 years of it. Nothing else in the filmography has the visibility of 'Titans', with Mercy Graves as the role. 'Coronation Street' belongs on any short list of her work. First credited in 2004, at 20.
