Carl Allen is a gray, withdrawn man, unable to get over a divorce and used to saying no to everything life offers. Everything changes when a friend drags him to a self-help seminar whose guru forces him to pledge to say 'yes' to absolutely any proposal that comes his way. The chain of absurdities that pledge sets off leads him to learn Korean, fly a light plane and meet a free-spirited girl, though he will soon discover that blind yes has its price too. A zany, big-hearted comedy carried by Jim Carrey's elastic energy.
