A group of stranded travelers become the prey of a family of cannibalistic, inbred mountain men after their car crashes on a remote West Virginia road in this back-to-basics slasher. Eliza Dushku and Desmond Harrington lead the survivors as the film leans into backwoods-horror tropes with unapologetic B-movie relish. Modestly budgeted but effectively grim, it launched a long-running direct-to-video franchise built on the same hillbilly-horror formula.
