In a quiet town, every student in a single class but one vanishes from their homes on the same night, at exactly the same hour, leaving no trace. The community is plunged into anguish and suspicion, pointing fingers at the teacher, the boy who was left behind, and everyone connected to the case. Through several interwoven perspectives, the unsettling truth about what or who is behind the disappearance is gradually revealed. Zach Cregger builds a choral horror, unpredictable and disturbing, that doles out the revelation between the everyday and the nightmarish.
