Rocky Balboa is a third-rate boxer and debt collector in the humble neighborhoods of Philadelphia, a good-hearted guy whom life seems to have pushed aside. When world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, purely as a publicity stunt, picks a nobody to fight for the title, Rocky is handed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to prove to himself that he can go the full fifteen rounds and stay on his feet. With the support of his shy girlfriend Adrian and an old trainer, he throws himself into a brutal training regimen. Written by Sylvester Stallone and an Oscar winner, an endearing sports drama about dignity and overcoming the odds.
