Quarantine

Quarantine

“On March 11, 2008, the government sealed off an apartment complex in Los Angeles. The residents were never seen again. No details. No witnesses. No evidence. Until now.”
5.8 /10 (1,430) Rage 2008 1h 29m
Horror Science Fiction Thriller
Screenplay John Erick Dowdle, Drew Dowdle
A tense American remake of the Spanish found-footage horror '[Rec]', directed by John Erick Dowdle. A television reporter (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman shadowing a night shift of firefighters are sealed inside an apartment building when the CDC quarantines it, as a rabies-like infection turns residents into frenzied killers. Claustrophobic and relentless, it is a faithful, effective if unnecessary redo. A modest hit that many felt fell just short of the superior original.
