Retired from the trade after the death of his wife, the legendary assassin John Wick leads a life of silent mourning alongside the dog she left him as a final gift. When the son of a Russian crime boss breaks into his house, steals his car, and kills the animal, he unknowingly reawakens one of the deadliest men in the underworld. Wick then returns to the criminal underground, a universe of neutral hotels and codes of honor, to settle the score with those who have pushed him back into violence. Chad Stahelski reinvents action cinema with brutal, stylized choreography and a criminal mythology that would spawn an entire saga.
