In a 2035 Chicago where domestic robots are ubiquitous and governed by the three laws of robotics that prevent them from harming humans, detective Del Spooner, deeply distrustful of machines, investigates the apparent suicide of the scientist who designed them. Convinced that a robot is behind the death, he uncovers a conspiracy that could put all of humanity in check. Loosely inspired by the stories of Isaac Asimov, the film blends futuristic action with an intriguing detective mystery and poses questions about artificial consciousness, free will and how far man can trust his own creation.
