April 1945. With Nazi defeat already imminent but resistance still fierce, veteran sergeant Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and his hardened five-man crew on increasingly suicidal missions deep inside Germany. The arrival of a green, terrified recruit, assigned to replace a fallen comrade, forces the group to toughen him up at breakneck speed as they face an enemy superior in numbers and firepower. David Ayer delivers a raw, claustrophobic war drama, shot almost entirely inside the steel of the tank, about camaraderie, dehumanization and the horror of the war's final days.
