Wagner Moura reprises his role as the hardened commander whose black-and-white worldview is tested by systemic rot he can no longer solve with force. The film became the highest-grossing Brazilian movie of all time domestically and won the Best Screenplay prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. It's widely considered one of the most searing critiques of institutional corruption in modern Brazilian cinema.
