At a circus fallen on hard times, an elephant calf is born whose enormous ears make it the laughingstock of the crowd until it is discovered that they let it fly. Under the care of two children and their father, a former performer wounded in the war, Dumbo becomes the new star that saves the company. But when an ambitious show-business entrepreneur sets his sights on the prodigy, the circus family discovers the shadows hidden behind the glow of the new park. Tim Burton reinvents the Disney classic as a live-action fable, melancholy and visually dazzling.
