Champion race car Lightning McQueen and his endearing friend, the tow truck Mater, cross the Atlantic to compete in the World Grand Prix, a race pitting the fastest cars on the planet against one another. But while Lightning chases the title, the clueless Mater is mistaken for a secret agent and finds himself unwittingly caught up in a plot of international espionage, chases and undercover operatives. A Pixar animated sequel that shifts its focus toward spy comedy, with settings in Tokyo, Paris and London and a fast pace aimed at younger audiences.
