Edward Bloom has always lived telling fabulous, larger-than-life stories of his youth: giants, witches, mermaids and impossible circuses. His son William, fed up with those fantasies, barely knows the real man hidden behind the legend, and returns home as his father lies dying to try to reconcile with him. As he listens once more to those tales, he begins to trace what is truth and what is myth in Edward's life. Tim Burton delivers a tender, visually dazzling fable about memory, imagination and the way the stories we tell end up defining us.
