Joining the fight is Batgirl, Alfred's niece, ready to swell the ranks of the crimefighters. Joel Schumacher pushes his style to its most colorful, camp, and overflowing extreme, with a neon Gotham, outlandish gadgets, and a pop-comic tone that made this installment the most excessive of the classic saga.
