A French father hires his employee Franck to babysit his young son Rémy for the weekend, unaware that Franck is turning thirty and that the responsibility will collide catastrophically with his own birthday plans — a night that spirals into chaos only pieced together afterward through recovered camera footage. Directors Nicolas Benamou (credited as Philippe Lacheau's collaborator) build the found-footage comedy around escalating, increasingly outlandish mishaps as the missing babysitter and child are tracked through the recovered recordings. The film's blend of raucous slapstick and mystery-box structure made it a substantial hit in French cinemas. It represents a distinctly French spin on the found-footage comedy format popularized elsewhere by Project X and its imitators.
