In the 22nd century, the paraplegic ex-marine Jake Sully is sent to Pandora, a lush and lethal moon whose air is deadly to humans. Through a hybrid avatar body, half human and half Na'vi, he infiltrates the natives to prepare the way for the mining of the precious mineral the corporation craves. But the more he comes to know their people and the warrior Neytiri, the more his loyalty wavers. James Cameron builds an entire world of phosphorescent jungles and impossible creatures with a visual revolution that redefined 3D, in an ecological fable of overwhelming adventure about greed, identity, and belonging.
