Based on the true story of Jesse James Hollywood, this crime drama follows a privileged young drug dealer who impulsively kidnaps the teenage brother of a man who owes him money, setting in motion a chain of events that escalates far beyond anyone's intention or control. Emile Hirsch, Justin Timberlake, Anton Yelchin, and Ben Foster form an ensemble of young actors portraying suburban kids playing at being gangsters until the game becomes terrifyingly real. Director Nick Cassavetes structures the film with chapter headings and multiple perspectives, building an increasing sense of dread as the audience knows from the start that this story of posturing and poor decisions will end in tragedy.
