Jason Segel

An endearing comedian of the Judd Apatow school, Jason Segel made a name for himself as the good-natured Marshall in the long-running sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother'. Born in Los Angeles, he honed his craft in the cult series 'Freaks and Geeks' and 'Undeclared' before writing and starring in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', a romantic comedy that revealed his talent as a screenwriter. His versatility let him revive the Muppets in 'The Muppets' and, in a dramatic key, play the writer David Foster Wallace in 'The End of the Tour', a turn that critics celebrated. More recently he co-created and stars in the series 'Shrinking', where he combines his comic vein with an emotional depth that earned him an Emmy nomination.
