In a business that burns through people quickly, Ian Bartholomew is a long-distance runner with a filmography that reaches back further than most viewers remember. Television and film have both stayed in regular use across the career. In cinemas, 'Wonka' is the work that stuck — Sceptical Old Man, specifically. 'Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre' is the other credit most often cited. The filmography reaches back well before the best-known title. He has worked in comedy more often than in any other register.
