En 2010, Trois adolescents, Rad, Carlos et Alexis, réactivent involontairement les Mini-cons (Mini-cans en vf) des Transformers capables de se combiner ou d’augmenter la puissance des Autobots et des Decepticons (Decepticans en vf). Leur réveil lance un signal qui réactive les deux autres factions de robots. Ils s’allient aux Autobots d’Optimus Prime afin de stopper les Decepticons. Mais une menace plus grande est sur le point de surgir.
